A BIT ABOUT ME

Hey :) I'm Ali Robinson and I'm the owner and head coach here at BAR Athletic. I've been passionate about fitness, sport and health from a really young age and have always loved to push myself physically and keep improving in life. 

In addition to my history with fitness, I have also spent many years in the corporate space as a senior change manager. I know what it's like to have great intentions to exercise and move but then get pulled in what feels like a million different directions and having no time or energy to get moving or nourish your body as you should.

As well as running BAR Athletic whilst working full time in the corporate space until I made the transition to just fitness, I'm also a mum of two school aged children and am a competitive bodybuilder.

As an accredited nutritionist, personal trainer, and having plenty of experience in the corporate world whilst parenting, I believe that not everyone has the same 24 hours in the day but I do know that you're still able to make progress towards your health and fitness goals. 

EXERCISE HISTORY

When I was younger I was an elite tennis player and played for a college in the US before having to retire due to injuries.I then stayed in America working for a Summer Sports Camp company before returning to Australia.

 

I've trained for an ironman (before my back once again prevented further progression), I've run the City to Surf several times, I've thrown myself into road cycling and ridden the Col du Tourmalet and Passo dello Stelvio in Europe - where I lived for 3 years in my late 20's.

I used to work  as a tennis coach; and for a cycling sports brand company in their events and athlete sponsorship division before moving into project consulting work within the finance industry and now working as a fitness and nutrition coach.

Besides the tennis, cycling, running and various other sports I've practised growing up, in terms of fitness and staying active I've been a cardio bunny, lover of F45, done all the Les Mills classes, smashed out HIIT workouts in the gym and at home, circuit training, practised yoga, and pilates.

 

Several years ago I decided to turn my focus to bodybuilding and I now compete as an FMG Fitness Pro.

I know what takes to compete at a high level and know what's involved to be disciplined, committed and dedicated to achieving a goal.

HOW I CAN HELP YOU

As we get older it feels like the responsibilities keep piling up and the time available to get everything done reduces. This does not mean that your health should become less of a priority, but rather it's more of one than ever.

In order to stay healthy, keep up with your job, family and the various tasks that need to be done, you need to be working at your optimum and you can't do that if your health isn't being looked after.

You don't need to do it alone. Take the thinking out of it and have me in your corner mapping out your path forwards to keep progressing and making sure you are living life at your happiest, healthiest, fittest and most nourished.

I'll make sure that you have the right plan of attack, and you just need to carry it out. We'll take the guess work out of it. Don't waste any more time reading about the newest diet or figuring out what exercise gets rid of stubborn belly fat. These methods are tried and tested, evidence based strategies and plans that will see you get results.

Let me help you and support you in this journey and take you from A to B while being your biggest cheerleader and accountability buddy.
